Idaho State University offers the MSN with different nurse practitioner tracks. However, campus based programs can be difficult for students to attend if the program is not geographically convenient or the student continues in their current professional nursing position while working toward his or her MSN.

Online MSN - nurse practitioner programs provide an option for registered nurses who want to pursue advanced practice careers as nurse practitioners. Clinical sites are often arranged in the student's local community and course content is identical to the course content taught through campus based programs.
