Florida Schools Offering MSN - Nurse Practitioner Programs

To become an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner (ARNP) in Florida you must have graduated from a MSN Nurse Practitioner program or a Post-Master's Nurse Practitioner Certificate Program. The programs offered here are fully accredited by the CCNE and/or the Florida Board of Nursing. Graduates of these programs are eligible for certification exams as well as licensure as Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioners. Read more about ARNP requirements.

You'll find various areas of specialization offered at different schools including family, adult, pediatric, geriatric, mental health, anesthesiology, neonatal, educator, women's health and others. Some programs are offered online and others are solely campus based to fit students' needs.

Pursuing an advanced education in nursing such as an MSN - Nurse Practitioner track opens up multiple career advancement opportunities in a Florida health care industry that is one of the fastest growing in the country. Nurse practitoners in Florida earn on average $35 to $40 an hour depending on location, experience and other factors. Job growth for ARNPs in Florida is projected to increase over the next decade as the population ages, requiring more complex medical attention and a shortage of health care providers impacts the state.
