APRN – Nurse Practitioner Programs in Utah

According to the State of Utah Division of Occupational and Professional Licensing/Utah Board of Nursing, applying for licensure as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) requires that you provide documentation of completion of at least a master’s degree nursing program. This master’s in nursing program must have included coursework in advanced health assessment, diagnosis and treatment, and pharmacotherapeutics. Master’s in nursing degree core curriculum generally includes courses in nursing research and theory, nursing practice, leadership and issues impacting professional nursing and the health care system.
