As a nurse practitioner in Missouri, you will practice with a dual focus of health promotion and disease prevention. With that in mind, as a nurse practitioner you will be able to expand your role as a nurse into advanced areas of practice including, but not limited to family care, adult care, pediatrics, women's health, neonatal, acute care, and geriatric care. In order to become a Nurse Practitioner in Missouri, you must have a current RN license in the state. In addition, you must graduate from a Master's in Nursing program that is recognized by a certifying body approved by the Missouri State Board of Nursing.
