Pre-Licensure ADN and BSN Programs in Wisconsin

Registered nurses with associate’s degrees or baccalaureate degrees in nursing are in high demand in the state of Wisconsin. So much so, that many are determining their own schedules and receiving sign-on bonuses. The only problem has been the shortage of nursing faculty which has limited the number of nursing students that can enroll in nursing programs. However, moves are being made to accomodate larger enrollments in Wisconsin’s schools of nursing. Below you will find pre-licensure associate’s and baccalaureate nursing programs offered in Wisconsin and approved by the Wisconsin Board of Nursing.

According to the Wisconsin Board of Nursing, the general requirements to become a registered nurse in Wisconsin include a high school diploma or equivalent and successful completion of a Wisconsin Board of Nursing approved pre-licensure ADN or BSN program. Upon completion of the pre-licensure program, graduates will need to apply and sit for the NCLEX-RN national licensure exam and then apply for licensure through the Wisconsin Board of Nursing.
